Why it rocks:
Streetspire® Oak offers beautiful dark green foliage and will turn a handsome, rusty red in fall. It will then drop acorns, attracting a variety of wildlife. This tree is similar to the Crimson Spire™ Oak, however, Streetspire does not hold its brown foliage through winter. Its narrow, columnar form and short upsweeping branches provide a storm-resistant structure. Mildew resistant.
Where to put it:
Streetspire® Oak is a great selection for narrow spaces in your yard or landscape. It’s often planted in rows to provide screening, a windbreak, or just to provide a formal look. Its columnar form is a perfect fit for narrow or confined spaces. Planted alone, in groves, or in rows, it’s the perfect vertical design element.
What it needs:
Streetspire® Oak prefers well-drained soil and about 6 – 8 hours of full sun per day. Be sure to follow our watering guidelines for the first few growing seasons until the root system is well-established.
